Significant carpark open space and corner landscape areas removed from the golf course presented an opportunity to provide residential living to complement the golf course lifestyle, benefitting from the close proximity to transport links and local retail and services. The benefit to the club is creation of a new expanded club and pro shop / maintenance facility with function rooms that can provide on-going income for the club. The development also allows for significant improvement of the golf course, including adjustments to holes adjacent the new club and residential to ensure good separation. Proposals include low-rise terrace style buildings fronting onto the golf course. Existing site access points are utilised, moving parking into the basement allows for creation of extensive landscape surrounds to the buildings and providing significant recreation amenity open space for residents.
